- About Me:
- Hi! My name is Lauren Adams. I just got married in June, so I am learning to respond to my students calling me "Mrs. Adams!" I teach English to sophomores in Lawrence, KS.
I was born and raised in Lawrence, but I went to college at the University of Missouri-Rolla to play DII soccer. I returned to Lawrence after graduating in December 2005, and I have been at Free State High School (where I graduated from in 2001!) ever since.
After this semester, I will have just four classes remaining in the IDT program. I enrolled in the program because I quickly realized how important technology is and will continue to be to teaching and to learning. I do not think I will always be a high school English teacher, and I would like to use my IDT degree to open doors to other opportunities.
This is a busy semester for me! I am taking two online courses, teaching full-time, and working two evenings/week at a retirement home. In any spare moments I have, I will probably be running, playing with my dog, Callie, or spending time with family, friends, and my husband, Nick.
