About Me:
Hello everyone. My name is John Decker. I have been a graphic designer at Emporia State University for the past 15 years. I also teach Digital Imaging for the department of art at ESU in the Fall semester. In the Spring, I am the head coach of the Emporia High School girls soccer team. I am a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals and University College Designers association. I have just completed my first year in the IDT program and I have one more year to go. I have a BFA in Printmaking and Graphic Design from ESU.
As far as hobbies and interests, I have more than I have time for. I like to exercise and play basketball, racketball, swim, run, and bike regularly. I just completed my first triathlon last spring. I also like to fish, camp, and boat with my family. I shoot a lot of sports photography, draw, do intaglio printmaking, woodworking, computer art, and just about anything else artistic. I also maintain a saltwater reef tank. I have been married over 21 years and have 2 daughters. My oldest is a sophomore this year at ESU majoring in psychology and plays soccer for ESU. My youngest is in 9th grade and plays soccer, softball, volleyball, dances, and sings.
