- About Me:
- While being a graduate student in Emporia University's online Instructional Design and Technology program, I also currently work at Lesley University in Cambridge MA as the eLearning Resources Support Specialist in eLearning and Instructional Support. Our group works with faculty and supports them in designing their courses and showcasing effective practices on the use on technology in teaching online and web-enhanced courses. And as a part of my job I am also very interested in learning and expanding my own knowledge with how technology and web 2.0 tools can be used in education.
While working here I’ve been exposed to a lot of instructional design ideas and theories, but have never personally had any formal learning on the subject, besides what I’ve experienced on the job. I got my undergrad degree in Visual Communication Technology at Lesley in 2005, and it took a couple of years after to discover that this is what I would really love to do, and I want to learn more about the background of this field and (hopefully) be able to apply what I learn. After researching several schools and programs, I came across Emporia’s Instructional Design & Technology Masters program and decided to apply!

Personal Info
For myself personally, I’m 26 years old, the oldest out of 3 girls, born and still living up in the New England area (where you take or leave the weather). My boyfriend and I currently live in the Salem NH area in a house we bought in September 2008, and the renovations and repairs never seem to stop!
I’m a self-admitted tech-geek and love playing around online with various web 2.0 tools (thankfully part of my job too!) and on computers in general, especially my Mac. I also really enjoy reading, walking, watching sci-fi and anime, drawing and doing various craft-type projects, and testing out different cooking recipes (which have all worked so far, unless there’s something my boyfriend isn’t telling me!).
